"Now Arriving at Gate 9"

Story submitted by: Kira Rushdi

"My fiancé is in the army and is stationed in Virginia. I, on the other hand, am attending school at Ricks College. We decided that for Valentine's Day I would fly out there to spend time with him, since I hadn't seen him since Christmas. The morning of Valentine's Day, I came off the plane to find that I couldn't see him anywhere! I got a little worried, but after the crowd moved, I saw him holding a dozen pink roses waiting for me. I immediately ran to him and gave him a huge hug! I noticed that he was a little nervous and was wondering why. He told me that he had a question to ask me. Then he got down on his knees in front of about a hundred people, who started gathering around us. He proposed, and I started to cry. As I went to give him a hug, he told me to wait. He pulled the ring out of his pocket and placed it on my finger. This was the best weekend of my life."
