"After taking time to talk things through and make our big decision, we became engaged in December. We went out with my parents to a favorite restaurant and came prepared. We arrived early to ask the waiter to hand Ring Pop lollipops to everyone at the table, except for me, when he came with water. The waiter didn't miss a beat, and my parents couldn't figure out what was going on. Then I loudly complained that I didn't get a ring, so Matt took my engagement ring from his pocket and put it on my finger. My parents were thrilled."
