Eternal Marriage
Gen 2:18 - It is not good that man should be alone.
Eccl 3:14 - whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever.
Matt 16:19 - whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shalt be bound in heaven.
Mark 10:6-9 - what therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.
Deut 24:5 - a man with a new wife should stay home a full year (my personal favorite).
D&C 132:7 - all covenants not entered into, sealed by the Holy Spirit are not in effect after the resurrection.
D&C 132:15 - not married by my word, marriage not of force when they are dead.

Love
1 Cor 11:11 - neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives.
Prov 19:22 - Whoso findeth a wife, findeth a good thing.
1 Thes 3:12 - increase and abound in love toward another.
1 Pet 1:22 - love one another with a pure heart
1 John 4:7 - love on another for love is of God.
D&C 42:22 - love thy wife with all thy heart.
D&C 42:45 - live together in love, insomuch that thou shalt weep for the loss.

Great Love Stories in Scripture:
Jacob and Rachel (Gen 29:9-29) - worked 14 years for the woman he loved.
Issac and Rebekah (Gen 24:10-28, 54-67) - biblical account of love at first sight.
Abraham and Sariah - she is beautiful and he does all he can to protect her.

Poem that can be read:
The Legend of the Wedding Band
"In a fair and far off country many centuries ago, a kind young
King was married to a princess he loved so.
Together they lived happily until one day
Beauty's worst enemy would force the King to travel far away.
One night before he left, as he walked throughout the palace grounds,
He tossed into a moonlit pool some pebbles that he had found.
As the lovely ripples widened from where the little pebbles fell;
The King stood thinking quietly of the wife he loved so well.
And remembering the next day the surface he had seen,
He had a gold ring made to fit the finger of the Queen.
"There is no Ending or Beginning to the circle on this band,"
The King said to his wife, as he slipped it on her hand.
"And that's why I have chosen this golden ring
To be a pledge to you that my love will last through all Eternity."
And so sense than a gold ring has been the symbol
Of beauty, devotion, and the endlessness of Love.
May all the Love and Happiness you two have found together,
Like the circle of the wedding band, go on and on forever."

Outline of Letter:
Some things I included in letter to my family on the occasion of my child's temple marriage:
1. Told the family that we were looking forward to them sharing the joy that this marriage was bringing into our lives.
2. Told the family where the grooms had spent the last two years and what they were doing while serving a mission.
3. Told about the brides, what they had accomplished and had been doing in the recent past (all positive of course).
4. Explained what it meant to be able to be sealed in the temple for eternity.
5. Explained what the lifestyle requirements were to gain entry.
6. Closed with again the invitation to join with us at the reception and special event as we celebrated the marriage of our children.
