"Why don't you just get married at our church? Why can't I be there?"

For the engaged, these are hard questions to hear from relatives and close friends who are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But the answers do not have to be as difficult. A temple marriage, although a very sacred event for LDS couples, is confusing to the non-LDS. Explaining the significance of the sealing can be trying, to say the least. To help LDS brides and grooms, we offer several options for introducing beliefs and incorporating the sealing into reception plans.
