Beauty Tipsby Jessica GuernseyA Winning Smile Does your smile need a little extra brightening? Try using a whitening toothpaste six weeks before the wedding. Also, avoid or limit colas, teas and other dark drinks that can damper your dental shine. We hear about beauty contestants who use Vaseline on their teeth to keep their teeth sparkling. This works for people who intend to never close their lips but not for brides. The petroleum jelly will clump your lipstick as well as leaving a bad taste in your mouth. It may be impossible to resist kissing your new husband, and we won't try to stop you. Just keep your lipstick on hand to touch-up. Also, you may want to give him some tissue. You don't want wedding photos where you are both wearing lip color. For stay-through-a-hurricane lipstick, follow these steps: Apply lipstick, lipliner as usual. Blot lightly with a tissue. Using a thin tissue (1-ply), place tissue over your lips while keeping your mouth slightly open. Dip a powder brush into loose powder, being careful to get a very small amount (talcum powder also works). Dab lightly at your lips through the tissue with the brush. Retrace lips twice. Blot lips very gently again to remove excess powder. If you use too much powder, your lipstick may clump. |
